Phage or Fail - In Search of a Cure

This is the podcast where Walter and Cindy will report on their trip to Search of a Cure.
Walter has Cystic Fibrosis and is tired of having to go in for expensive IV antibiotic treatments for his persistent lung infections. The antibiotics side effects gave Walter significant hearing loss and tinnitus, and are doing little to kerb his lung infection. Bacteriophages may offer solutions as they will kill the resistant bacteria without significant if any, side effects. Phages, short for bacteriophages, have been used in the former USSR and EastBloc countries over a period of many decades. Poland and Georgia are still considered pioneers and forerunners in the therapy, with phages available over the counter. Walter and Cindy are on their way to Poland and Belgium, two EEC countries, where phages are available to see what it is all about. Listen to their regular updates on their travels!
