A 3.5 hr train ride from Krakow to Przemysl in Poland is stage one. As the scenery became rural and covered in snow I prepared to disembark. Double checking with a passenger I discovered he was a Lviv local returning home.
He helped me buy my ongoing ticket for the next 3-4hr train ride across the border into the Ukraine. He is an engineer and speaks great English.
Not missing the opportunity I asked him about phages and showed him photos of Ukrainian Phage products. He recognised them as common medicine!
